So when the team at Wand.AI approached us to create a multi-part video series that would onboard artists into their powerful generative art tool, we jumped at the opportunity. The result is a five-part tutorial series that lives both on YouTube and embedded within the Wand.AI platform—designed to help users confidently explore, experiment, and create.
What is Wand.AI?
Wand.AI is a digital canvas for artists, enabling them to generate AI-assisted images in their own visual style. Whether based on rough sketches or detailed drawings made directly in the app, Wand.AI gives creatives a space to iterate with machine intelligence—without compromising their voice or vision.
Creating a Smart Onboarding Experience
The tutorial series was designed to equip new users with the tools and confidence to integrate Wand.AI into their creative practice. From the first click to complex workflows, we structured the series step-by-step so that each module left viewers with a practical skill and a sense of accomplishment.

Rather than relying on screen recordings, we chose to film the iPad interface live using a multi-cam setup. This made the videos feel more tangible and relatable. The overall style was clean and modern to reflect the intuitive, high-tech nature of the product.
Behind the Scenes
We filmed the series at Wand.AI’s offices with a nimble crew of six. Understanding the importance of clear audio in tutorial content, we brought on a location sound mixer to ensure viewers stayed engaged. Each episode was tightly scripted to function as a focused lesson, not just a walkthrough.
As someone who frequently learns new tools to keep pace with the industry, I approached the project with a user's mindset. That experience helped shape the pacing, tone, and educational design of the series.
