A Day Away: Cosette Di Ames Fall 2024 Fashion Film

For the Fall 2024 collection of Cosette Di Ames, Tyro Films was brought on to direct and produce a romantic, escapist fashion film—one that captured the brand’s signature softness and ethereal charm while introducing its new seasonal line. Titled A Day Away, the campaign explores indulgence, quiet luxury, and the magic of solitude.

Campaign Overview

Set against the backdrop of a French-style château just outside New York City, this campaign invites viewers into a dreamlike world of serenity, elegance, and feminine ease. The film tells the story of a woman who wakes to find herself in a fairytale—a beautiful home, golden morning light, and the time to do nothing but simply be.

The creative goal was clear: to present Cosette Di Ames’ Fall 2024 styles in a setting that embodied self-care, softness, and personal indulgence. The visuals had to reflect the brand’s identity—luxurious, airy, and light.

Inspired by campaigns like For Love & Lemons Spring, our creative direction leaned into fantasy and nostalgia. I wanted the film to feel timeless but tactile—like a memory you only half remember. The location played a central role in bringing this feeling to life. Natural light was our key ingredient, subtly enhanced with minimal artificial lighting to keep the mood intimate and organic.

The film was shot using a hybrid approach: clean Super 35 digital footage paired with digitized camcorder clips, creating a textured visual language that nodded to both modern fashion filmmaking and 2000s-era home videos.

Behind the Scenes Production

Despite being approached just days before the shoot, we assembled a tight-knit crew of five who worked quickly and intuitively. I took on dual roles as Director and DP, shaping the shoot around available light and the natural flow of the space.

From styling to lighting, everything was guided by the idea that this character was living her most peaceful, aesthetic morning—a soft, cinematic break from the noise of daily life.

The campaign launched digitally across Cosette Di Ames’ channels to support the Fall 2024 product drop, reinforcing brand identity and generating strong visual engagement from their target audience. The resulting video serves both as a fashion editorial and a brand film that communicates mood, story, and style all in one.
